Is it possible to know how to virus removal without antivirus? Yes, it is, especially if the ordinary and the common ways aren’t working well. There are several scenarios or situations where using the antivirus is out of the question. Of course, you need to be smart and creative without it.

The Possible Condition

Have you ever encountered a situation where you can’t even update or download a new antivirus? It is possible that your virus is responsible for such chaos. If you have another device, you can use it to download the antivirus and then transfer it to the affected area. But if you don’t, there is always another alternative.

It is also possible to learn how to virus removal without antivirus if the problem somehow persists, no matter what your efforts are. If your antivirus tells you that it has removed the virus but when you do the scan, the antivirus says that there is the virus. You have performed the scan over and over, and yet the problem still persists….then you don’t have to use the antivirus.

The Alternatives

First of all, activate the command prompt. If you don’t know how to do it, press start and then type cmd. Do this on the search files and programs. Then, choose the drive that has been affected by the virus, such as D: or C: Afterwards, type in attrib –s –h*.* /s /d and press the Enter button.  And then type in dir. It will show you the drive content. You should find out whether there is an .exe file that is suspicious or unusual. You should rename it with this way (rename filename .extension newfilename). Afterwards, you can freely access the drive without activating or affecting the virus. Then go to my computer, choose the drive, and then delete the suspicious files. If you know the name, you can use the command prompt to delete it by (type del filename).

Besides using the command prompt, you can also try another way: which is using the Safe Mode when starting up the computer. Most of the viruses keep their files within the Windows registry folder, which acts as the instruction database and tells the operating system the crucial info about the programs (the ones you have within the computer). The bad thing about this folder is that it tells the virus to activate when the OS loads. When you start the Safe Mode, you can work with the Windows OS core elements. You can still try making your antivirus run within this Safe Mode. Hopefully, it works more satisfyingly and better in combating the virus.

It does take time to perform the cleaning, especially if you do it without the antivirus. However, it doesn’t mean that you can’t do it or it will be impossible. If you know someone who is an expert in this field or has the knowledge about computer (and technical terms), asking for their help can be beneficial. In the end, it is always possible to learn about how to virus removal without antivirus as long as  you do it right.
